The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) issued instructions to its Rajya Sabha MPs to attend and vote against the Delhi services bill. The Congress and Aam Aadmi Party also issued directives to their MPs to be present during the Rajya Sabha session when the bill is discussed. The Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2023, has already been approved by Lok Sabha. Sanjay Raut praised the AAP government's work and criticized the BJP's stance on the bill. Shiv Sena, part of the Opposition's I.N.D.I.A bloc, is against the bill and AAP MPs Sandeep Pathak and Sushil Gupta highlighted their opposition. The AAP issued a whip to its MPs to attend the Rajya Sabha session. The bill aims to replace an ordinance that shifted control over "services" in the NCT administration to the Delhi government. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will present the corresponding bill in the Rajya Sabha. The Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) parties plan to oppose the bill, despite the NDA having support from BJD and YSRCP.
