A man named Sahabuddin Ansari, who administered a WhatsApp group called 'Nagar Palika Parishad Bhadohi', was arrested after a derogatory comment against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath surfaced on social media. The comment was posted by a person named Muslim Ansari, who is still at large. The police received the complaint about the comment on August 4 through Twitter and registered a case against both Sahabuddin Ansari and Muslim Ansari under various sections of the IPC, IT Act, and Criminal Law Amendment Act. The WhatsApp group aimed to address the problems faced by the public and included corporators of the Nagar Palika Parishad of Bhadohi.
